Special Theatrical/Musical Number: "Becoming Whole Again: Healing Heartbreak Through Christ&quo

Melissa Burke has her degree in Musical Theatre, having studied at New York University, Webster Conservatory, and East Carolina University. She is also the Theatre and Film instructor at Syracuse Arts Academy and owner and director of Melissa Burke Vocal and Acting Studio. She worked with producer Tyler Castleton on her inspirational album "The Gift of God in You" which was recorded through the process of traveling back and forth to Utah from her home state of North Carolina. She finally ended up moving here to Utah five years ago. She has performed with Hale Centre Theatre and has been a featured vocalist on the Mormon Channel.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Melissa has spent nearly 10 years playing the role of single mother to her three daughters--Jaz, Luseane, and Mele. Melissa Burke will be sharing her powerful and heartfelt message at our conference through word and song through the special theatrical/musical program with the hopes of inspiring others to turn to the Savior in times of struggle and loss in this life as the only true source of healing. Her musical performance will answer the question "How can we overcome the feelings of despair and hopelessness that accompany the challenges of heartbreak we face in our lives?" The production will include original music from producer Tyler Castleton and is directed by Christy Summerhays, director of Michael McLean's Forgotten Carols.
